Kumon is a franchise to be avoided at all costs - I gave it a '1' because '0' was not available!

Kumon is a franchise to be avoided! After operating one for a period of time, I became increasingly-frustrated for many reasons, including the fact that the Kumon programs do not provide sustained benefit to students. Since the Kumon programs are not aligned with curriculum standards, this quickly renders them useless. With an approximate 30% Franchise Fee, added to the cost of commercial space lease/rental and other demands from the franchiser, it's next to impossible to make this a profitable undertaking. Anyone considering a Kumon franchise is best advised to do extensive research on this corporation, which is clearly focused on its own profitability at the expense of its franchisees and their student clientele.
