I was gifted a massage for Christmas a few months ago. When I went in for my first massage, it was fine, but when I went to leave the woman at the desk asked me, “would you like another massage for $10?” I asked how I get that. She stated, “You pay $10 to sign up for our monthly membership. You can cancel at any time.” It is regularly $65, so I thought it was a good deal. Exactly a month later I called to cancel my (cancel any time) membership and the girl stated, “You’re not allowed to cancel for a month and you must pay a full months membership. I set an alarm on my phone to cancel the membership exactly when she told me I could. I called on the exact day to cancel my membership and they said I could not cancel because: “the person on the phone last time probably could not fully see your account and told you incorrect information. I’m sorry about that. You have to pay for another month and then you can cancel.” They are definitely cheating people out of money. This seems like a desperate business that is obviously not thriving so be warned.
