This is my experience from the 40Hwy and Sterling Ave:Went there two weeks in a row at 11:30pm Friday night, with just another friend and myself. The doors were locked each time and was told they close their kitchen and bar 30 minutes before close, even though their hours advertise 12am. Ridiculous. I filed a complaint with corporate, no one called me or reached out to me in any way. Very disappointed to say the least, since I’ve been a consistent customer of this particular Applebee’s since they built it over 10 years ago.

The location on 40 Hwy has bad food and poor service. We waited for 35-45 minutes to get our food. Then when it did come they had the host to bring it to our table. The food look like it had been sitting for awhile and was dyed out. The waiter came back to our table once the whole hour n a half that we we're there. I talked to the manager and he offered another meal. Well we didn't want wait another 30 minutes or so to get another meal. He gave us $7 off our ticket. Which was not anything. The experience was really bad and I still left out hungry.

We started out ordering a $1 margarita a Pepsi and a classic combo appetizer. For our entrée we ordered a 6 oz sirloin medium rare with three cheese mac & cheese and fries and the 6 oz sirloin and shrimp withe green beans and mashed potatoes and we wait. Ordered a second $1 margarita. And wait. Finally our appetizer comes followed promptly by our meal. Which we were not given knives to cut our steaks and the shrimp was still under cooked to the point that they were still opeque. We searched for our waitress and couldn't find her. Finally asked the host to please send her to our table. In the meantime I was looking at my daughters plate and noticed some fries something on her plate. When the waitress finally appeared I asked her what the thw fries things on her plate were she replied, onions. My daughter has a sever allergy to onions and told the waitress that we would need a new plate. I then turned her attention to the raw shrimp on my plate. She said that she would have our plates made over and send the manager obee to talk to us. I was fine with this at this point because we would now have time to eat our appetizer. We finished our appetizer and still no sign of our waitress, the promised manager or our food. I again asked the host to send our waitress over. Again we wait. No waitress, manager or food. I then again went to the host and asked for our check so we could leave. Still nothing. I finally got up and took $25 to the host and asked that he five it to our waitress. It was 9:30 when we left and still no waitress, manager or food. Worst service I have ever had in a restaurant!

not good. I keep thinking they will get better. wrong. Got the $9 special steak. rubbery and big gristle running through it. Baked potato was more like boiled and had a funny taste. Good service except...... Asked for 1.29 dessert and was shown the menu. I picked the blond brownie and WAS NOT told this was 5.99. I paid my 23 bill but thought about later and realized I was overcharged. Called this AM, talked to manager and he is giving me a $15 credit the next time I go in..... but not ever going there again.

WENT TO 95 ST IN OVERLAND PARK & SAT IN BOOTH, I'M HANDICAPPED WALK W CANE. & LADY CAME UP THOUGHT SHE WAS GOING TO ASK WHAT I NEEDED. SHE TOLD ME IF I'M BY MYSELF I HAVE TO TRY & CLIMB IN HIGH CHAIR & SET AT YOUR BAR. THEY WERE NOT BUSY.NO THK U I'M HANDICAPPED, SO I LEFT SAID, THAT'S NOT A WAY TO TREAT A LOYAL CLIENT. BROUGHT 8 PEOPLE THERE FOR CHRISTMAS DINNER. MY GROUP OR I HAVE NOT BEEN BACK.& @ ANOTHER LOCATION WENT IN FOR LUNCH WAITED FOR 5-7 MIN. ONLY COUPLE PEOPLE THERE & NOONE CAME TO MY TABLE. I'M A BUSINESS OWNER ALWAY GIVE A TIP FOR COURTEOUS & GOOD SERVICE. BUT NO MORE. WHO TRAINS YOUR PERSNAL?
