I apologize for my recent post about your receptionist. I posted on the wrong dentistry office all together. The other place is a couple blocks away from you. I spoke to the receptionist today and she was just lovely. I again am apologizing for leaving a bad review when I've never had been there. I'm sure I'll leave a great review after my visit 😃 Amazing dentistry! I love Colleen, Taz and the dentist! (Sorry....I don't remember her name) but they were all amazing!! I'll go there till the end of time! I again....apologize.

This is in response to "Roc" below. It is disturbing to see your review of Asante Dental and especially their receptionist Colleen. It is glaringly obvious that you are either mistaken about which business you are referring to, or are intentionally posting lies to what end I can only imagine. I have been a patient at Asante for over 10 years. In all that time Colleen has never once been less than wonderful to me and all the people I have referred who also became devoted clients. In fact, Colleen is one of the very best things about Asante!! If I have an emergency she moves heaven and earth to get me in immediately. If I'm in a lousy mood it is no match for her cheerful upbeat optimism. In all these years she has never once missed calling to wish me a Happy Birthday/New Years/Easter etc etc. And I have never, EVER, heard her be less than courteous, kind and perpetually cheerful to every single person who calls or comes in to her office. And, I have never seen her wear a big cross - not that there's anything wrong with that. (Her style is more classic as she is a petitè woman and does not wear any large jewelry.) I have a huge amount of respect and admiration for Colleen and her ability to brighten anyone's day. As does absolutely everyone I know who knows her. The same can be said for everyone at Asante. The level of professionalism, skill and workmanship combined with kindness and compassion from every single person there is like visiting old friends every time I go.So you, Roc, have made a terrible mistake. As Dr. Shivji responded to your 'review' absolutely no one in either of their offices recognizes your name. So, whether intentional or accidental, you owe an amazing lady an apology. If, that is, you have the honesty and integrity to own up to your error. My name is Renée-Lynn Duncan and I stand behind every word. Usually I post reviews on Yelp and you're very welcome to see them all throughout the years. Please do. And to Colleen...please don't take this Roc person's words to heart. You are an amazing lady and everyone in my family absolutely admires your bright and shining spirit. I have been going to Asante Dental Centre in New Westminster since their inception. I felt compelled to write this quick review as my most recent experience in July was the best experience I have ever had in the last 40+ years. The hygienist that provided my most recent cleaning was the gentlest imaginable. And of course, the services provided directly by Dr. Shivji are always stellar.

I went to see Dr. Lam after seeing the advertised special for first time clients. He told me I had 9 cavities inbetween my teeth, totalling almost $2000. I moved to Vancouver a few years ago and this was my first time seeing a dentist in the city, I thought it would be good to have one closer to home. After receiving the quote I went to my dentist of 15 years in Victoria BC to get a second opinion. When the office called Dr. Lam's office to get the x-rays to review they said they didn't have me on file. After getting new X-rays and an examination my dentist concluded I had no cavities, just a few "watch" areas. DO NOT GO HERE. I am so glad I decided to get a second opinion.

AMAZING DENTISTRY @ ASANTE DENTAL IN NEW WESTMy name is Kim and I've been going to Dr Shivji since he opened his practice in New West many years ago. My family and I have had exceptional service over that time. I have been moved to write this testimonial due to the kindness and empathy he and his staff have shown me as I have been moving through some particular obstacles as of late. The unending ethical and moral practices of Dr. Shivji and his amazing support staff have helped me in ways I simply cannot emphasize enough. Please don't take my word for it, go and see what state of the art equipment complemented with gentle, patient, experienced staff and dentistry looks like. Dr. Shivji and his staff are always warm and welcoming making the experience of going to the dentist less stressful. Dr. Shivji is a kind, gentle man who takes the time to explain procedures and does amazing work. I highly recommend Asante Dental!
