The Brown Bag is a well designed (if you love a wood theme) breakfast/lunch spot in downtown DC. It's just north of Franklin Square and opens early to serve the breakfast crowd. They brew drip coffee, bake pastries (the mocha muffin is excellent), and make breakfast sandwiches to order. A few hours later, it flips to lunch making sandwiches, salads, etc. The space is large and can accommodate large groups. If you want a fast breakfast/lunch experience in a more well designed spot, head to Brown Bag.
