Client Review on Career Development Institute
Feedback:
***Please see my review on yelp ***Veterans please stay away, they are not VET friendly and your gi bill or chapter 33 will not cover the full tuition, you will owe over $7,000 more. They are not worth taking out the extra money and will mostly screw that up.For everyone else, this school is not what will make you a competent nurse. It will be how you apply yourself (read and study the material and skills) and your materials (books & ATI) as well as the pratical experience you'll receive at clinicals (here is where you apply what you taught yourself from reading) that will make all of the difference. The instructors will play a very minimal part , if any, in training most of you. The most they will give you is personal accounts of them as nurses, you can get that from blogs or talking with the nurses at clinical sites.I recommend going to a public institution. You will receive fair and impartial instruction. It won't matter if they like you, you will be treated and taught like everyone else. Also public institutions tend to have programs and resources for students, especially those low income, experiencing hardship or need childcare, or help with transportation etc. You won't get that personal understanding at this school, even if they participate in federal aid and you qualify, they are not eager to help you obtain aid to stay in their program,.. now to pay them, they will help get you money for that. Overall, I'd say if you do not have a connection to this school by either family or friends that work here or graduated then don't come, or if you are not lucky to not have to work to pay for school and your living expenses then don't come here. If you need instruction and hands on with the instructors, don't come here- you have to be an independent learner because you will pratically teach yourself (& when I left, there was only 1 instructor anyway for 4 classes -actually I don't know how many classes because when I started there were two big classes there prior to us and 1 about to graduate, but after three months all of those people disappeared). Anyway, there are schools for everyone. This school is bias to those that need nothing else but books, ATI access, and clinicals.
