Client Review on Cookies By Design

I just got off the phone with someone named Keith with Cookies by Design. It was my hope that Cookies by Design would do the right thing and refund us for this botched order. He was adamant that Cookies by Design did nothing wrong, therefore, would not refund my purchase. That is a very poor decision and bad business for a company who is supposed to be about making people smile. My daughter’s 18th birthday isn’t something that can be repeated so the special delivery and the joy it was supposed to bring is lost forever. I understand that it is Cookies by Design’s stance that the order was delivered so therefore they are not to blame. However, I was very specific about the location of my daughter and that is NOT where the cookies were delivered. They were delivered somewhere on campus and it took 4 days for anyone to figure out where. Mind you, this is a very small university so it should not have been that hard to deliver it to the specified location. By the time the delivery was discovered, my daughter was already home and the moment was gone. I would think that Cookies by Design would simply refund the order and seek to make things right so that I would feel comfortable placing an order with them in the future. Instead, they have created a lot of hurt feelings and anger towards Cookies by Design. I will use the credit I have at some point because I do not want Cookies by Design to keep my money in any way without delivering a product, but I will never recommend them to anyone with this company’s mindset on doing business. It would be a very good idea to be more specific on your website about Cookies by Design’s plan NOT to deliver any bouquet ordered to the specific address designated by the customer to a location on campus. I think that is still bad business, but at least setting these low expectations might prevent more disappointment by future customers. I could completely understand if the address had been vague, but it was not. It was specific and we are left saddened and angry with a company that we used to love.
