Client Review on Five Star Painting, LLC

Feedback:

5 Star Painting did interior painting for us. This included living room and dining rooms, kitchen and hallways. There were some cathedral ceilings. Curtis gave the bid and promised the sun, the moon and the stars. He was a good salesman. Our painters were Pedro and Jose. They were polite, clean and did a very good job. They needed 3 layers of paint in the living and dining rooms and did a very good job. They did however get paint on our carpet in the hallways by the stairs and baseboards. They spilled some paint on the carpet and it seems they tried wiping it up but it just pushed the paint into the fibers. I didn’t discover these things until the next day which was Saturday. I got out my Bissell and kept putting water on the area and sucking it out with the Bissell. I worked on this and other places for the next two days. They also missed some places on the walls and some repairs. That said, they were hard workers and I feel there was too much work for the 5 days allotted for our job. There should have been more prep time figured in. They also painted three outside doors and mistakenly painted the weather stripping and then shut the doors. Needless to say the doors dried shut and were stuck. Erick, the project manager came by and promised to fix everything. Some things were fixed and some we are still waiting on. There has been no communication for over a week. At first I was told that they would send someone to clean the carpets where there was paint. After a few days they told me to hire my own carpet cleaner and they would help with the payment. By that time the paint was getting very dry and harder to get out. My carpet guy came and worked hard and got most of the paint out. I had him divide the bill and only sent 5 Star the bill for the worst parts. Constance in the office texted back and said she would show the bill to her boss. It has been 12 days and we have heard nothing. Erick came by about that time and brought new weather stripping to install. We were just leaving for the day and didn’t know he was coming. There have been communication problems. We had to work to get the doors open. Some of that painting has been damaged with that. Everyone has been very nice. Constance was hoping for a 5 star rating and I have wanted to give it but at this point I can only give 3 stars.
