Rob and Kirsten Hodgson were inspired to open the first Granny Nannies in Orlando, Florida, in 1990, after struggling to find in-home care for Rob's aging grandmother that wanted to remain in her own home.

A grandmother with the support of family to whom a nursing home was "out of the question". What's a family to do? Rob and Kirsten moved to Florida from New Hampshire to care for Esther.

With their own busy life to manage, Rob and Kirsten quickly found themselves in need of help. Their search to find competent, caring and affordable care assistance in central Florida yielded very little. Being "go-getters" Rob and Kirsten solved their problem, which quickly led to the realization that their former plight was an all too common occurrence and the need for specialized private duty home care...

And the rest is history!

Overall Feedback:

My mother lives alone and is in her 70’s. After her back surgery, we needed someone to be home with her to help. A friend told me about Granny Nannies. Right from the start , they were great and very professional! We will definitely use them again and recommend them as well!
