Jim is very insightful and can read your dog from the first time he assesses him. He gives great tips for manners and using techniques that I would not have thought of like putting tape on the floor to restrict your dogs movement. He is so experienced and I don’t think there are many behaviors he could not fix or modify. Highly recommend him!

Jim Burwell is a miracle worker! My sons nicknamed our 16 months maltipoo Beau “the tiny terrorist!” After three short lessons with Jim, however, Beau was transformed! My boys can now enjoy playing and cuddling with a sweet, fun dog thanks to amazing Jim Burwell - thank you, Jim!!

Jim was excellent for us - very flexible in coming to our house, answering our questions, and making suggestions that worked for our lifestyle and dogs personalities. Our dogs have come MILES in advancement and still have room to grow. I highly recommend - he is worth the money!

Jim did wonders for my 3 month Golden Retriever. A little work and some know-how went a long way. Jim showed up on time or early each appt. I recommend him to anyone looking to add a dog to their family. I just hope he’s still around for the next one. Thanks Jim!

We called Jim for training for our 9 month old puppy. We wanted him trained on basic commands like sit, down, off (the furniture and people) etc. as well as more advanced training like not going up our stairs. After just a few sessions we could see a huge difference in how our puppy reacted and listened to commands. After our full 6 sessions he is a completely different puppy (in a good way)! He listens and follows through on all commands and has gotten much better with the stairs. Jim was wonderful to work with and gives you the tools you need to train your puppy not only during your sessions but for well after. My husband and I 100% recommend Jim.

Our large, 10 year-old dog fell down the stairs and was too afraid to walk down the stairs on her own. In one session, Jim was able to help us reteach Sage how to walk down the stairs without being afraid. She was walking up and down the stairs by herself that very night. We used the remaining two training sessions to work on obedience training and separation anxiety.

I was so lucky to find Jim. He was wonderful to work with, very calm and reassuring. I was worried that my high energy rescue puppy might not be a good fit, but with his guidance she and I both learned. She continues to make steady progress. I would highly recommend giving him a call!

Jim has vast insight into animal behavior. He has a calm gentle demeanor with dogs which is what we were looking for in a trainer.He trained me as much as he trained our stubborn dog !
