Testing through work experience!... don't waste your time with this company if you plan to apply for testing through work experience. You and your HR department will be given the run around when it comes down to employment verification. NCCT has horrible communication and is never clear on what they are asking for. In my case, I applied for testing 3 weeks before the test date, documents and everything submitted as they request to reserve my spot. I was applying for my Medical Assistant certification so they withdrew the 135$ fee instantly. 1st problem, I had to call them to confirm all documents were received since i had not heard from them and it was 2nd to last day before the deadline. I was informed the application was not filled out to there liking. They asked that I resubmit within the same business day or I would be taken off the testing list. Did as requested and called to confirm I was in good standing. All checked out and I was told to expect an email within the week with testing confirmation and details about location. 2nd problem, 6 days later I havnt received my email confirmation so I call NCCT again to inquire. Apparently they havnt been able to verify my employment but they never bothered to call me so I begin intervening. Calling NCCT every day for a whole week, offering alternate contact info to Human Resources, my manager and supervisors but they were hesitant because it's not the phone numbers on the application submitted (which by the way, doesn't ask for supervisor or HR contact info). So the day before testing I speak with Alma and she tells me she still hasn't been able to verify employment. I asked if she would verify employment with my regional manager and allow me to sit for testing the next day. She agrees and verifies employment. The day of testing, 8am still no email. I call NCCT and was told employment still not verified. Got on the phone with both Alma and Crystal J., customer service manager. Alma said she still needed to verify employment with my prev. employer but she never told me this the day before. So here on the day of testing I am being told it's my fault for not providing them with the correct contact info when the day before I was told I was approved for testing. Crystal manager takes over, says that if I can get my prev employer, wether it be the doctor or manager to call them back for employment verification I can still test. I ask her for a call back # but she won't give me one. In the hour I was on the phone I got to my prev employers office and I told Crystal if she were to call the office I could ensure she get thru to the doctor or manager. She puts me on hold and says, per Director of Education, it has to be verified by HR and refused to speak with anyone else. At this point I asked for my refund and she said she will refund me my money minus a 25$ processing fee for cancelling. Come to find out both HR said they kept calling NCCT back and left voicemessages to verify my employment. Never had I dealt with such horrible customer service! I had referred other coworkers to them but I will make sure to let them know of my experience! I am not one to write reviews but the headache and trouble this company put me through is one I won't forget. Ps. Testing site would have been San Diego.
