the food at this restaurant quickly became subpar upon realizing it was exposed to an assumingely contagious illness. jolie, my waitress, was obviously sick since she was coughing and hardly able to speak. i will not be supporting this business again not only for the reason of unnecessary exposure to illness, but i also will not willingly support a business who abuses their workers. it was clear that the waitress was overworked, tired, and slightly embarrassed to be handling food, being that she could hardly get through a sentence without a cough or voice crack. jolie even took the initiative to apologize for her illness, making it clear to me that she was not in the appropriate condition to be handling food. ethical business practices include maintaining employee morale in order to improve customer morale. it was clear this was not exhibited. my experience was tarnished, not due to jolie and her illness, but due to management allowing inconsiderate behavior to happen.
