My daughter is ASD and is terrified of getting her hair cut. Previous experiences have included both parents in hand to hold her, once there were 4 of us holding her this was at a Melon ahead that we drive all the way to Mississauga for. ImTook her to Sharkey’s Cuts for Kids in Burlington and it was like she had never been afraid of getting her hair cut before. The set up is like a toy store with toys and candies in display so I think that confused her. I let the owners know about my concerns. They had no issues. They asked my daughter to chose a seat (toy Jeep) to sit in and the owners turned on the tv to Paw Patrol ( after asking her what shoes she liked). She sat there smiling throughout the cutting experience even when the hair dryer came out. At the end of it she proclaimed that her hair cut was awesome as were her two new awesome friends. Costs more than a child’s hair cut at an all ages salon chain but for us it was worth it.

Accommodating enough to get us in under short notice even though it was the last day before school starts. Our stylist did a nice job and there was plenty for the kids to do.

I regret taking my son to this place for a hair cut. Appealing to children with TVs and cars to sit in for the little ones, however not properly cleaned as hair is absolutely everywhere. The hair dresser seemed nice enough but butchered his hair. We have a curious child who looks around a lot, and instead of waiting a moment for him to get used to what she was doing she just kept cutting and it is much too short. Even worse, when she pulled out the shaver to trim his hair, he kept turning to see what the noise was and now there is a bald patch across the back of his head and the top of his hair sticks out in all directions. Not at all worth the $28 spent.

We went on one of the hottest days of the summer and they didn't even have the AC on. It is welcoming for kids because of all the toys and TVs on the walls but it's not a very tidy place. Hair is absolutely everywhere.

Overall it is really not a great experience. The gentleman is nice and friendly. But the hair stylist is really not very good at handling the kids. My daughter is 7 year old and one time she didn't lower her chin or stay still for one minute, this lady had to tell her off saying to my daughter " you are a big girl " . And also the work is sloppy and basic and rushed especially the braid. I can do much better job than she is in braiding my daughter's hair. In the end I paid $29.00 for a 10 minutes work. Talking about ridiculous price. Will not return to this place even with all the toys.

Just got in from "fixing" my 5 year old son's hair cut after a woman from there cut an extra short chunk out of a portion of the side hair and did not blend any lengths of his hair. The fix was ok..blended much better by the new hairdresser..but you can't make his hair grow back where the other lady cut it off! The worst part was she said I told her to make it shorter and she kept saying not to..I agreed but said I didn't ask for it to be uneven..everywhere!!! They also tried to tell me that he had no hair in that section to start...come on. Won't be back. Won't recommend.

This place is great, kids can play Xbox, PlayStation, or Wii while they are getting their hair cut... The staff works really well with kids... It's a bit expensive, but it's always a great haircut.
