Client Review on Taco Taco Cafe

I had two friends recommend this place because their tacos are good. I decided to give them a try for breakfast since we live down the street. When I walked in, I was greeted by a sweet waitress who took my order. As I was getting ready to pay, the owner walked up to cash me out. She asked what I ordered and so I began to tell her. Then the waitress walked back up with my ticket and gave it to the owner. The owner placed my ticket to the side and I saw that it was my ticket and I asked if the total was $10.35? She said, “I don’t know baby it’s whatever you want it to be...” and grabbed another check and said it was $18.00 and something cents. I looked at that ticket and stated that that wasn’t what I ordered and the ticket the waitress handed to the owner was mine. I was shocked that the owner seemed so careless. Even though I was eventually charged the correct amount, I was going to just let it go until I got home and tried the tacos... The hot sauce is flavorless and tastes like it is watered down. The tacos I ordered barely had any sausage or chorizo. When you go in the restaurant, you can tell that the place once had a great reputation with all of the awards, pictures, and certificates on the walls. I’m not sure what happened, but it seems like the place may be going down hill. Everyone else’s bad reviews were based on how dirty the restaurant was, but I think the restaurant was clean. However, I didn’t go into the bathroom.Update: Due to the response from management blaming the experience on me and simply stating I was “confused” to cover up the OWNER’S careless attitude... I have changed my review to one star. I figured the staff member who tried to charge me different was in FACT the owner considering her picture was ALL over the restaurant’s walls. I definitely remember nodding in disagreement to the $18 ticket... I was not confused, thank you. The owner seemed to not care what she charged me until I caught it. Do not go to this place. Read the reviews. Management argues with all of their negative reviewers instead of simply apologizing and trying to gain back their reputation that they once may had. What a waste of a business in such a great location that I believe could thrive if they were honest and had a better attitude.Very disappointed.
