Show me the money! No insurance no service!Truly disappointed in Tru-Skin today. I have been a client of this office for at least 5 years. Their doctor and PAs are great. I have had many procedures and been very happy with the medical staff. They are friendly and good at what they do. I have and many moles removed, even dealt with basal cell carcinoma with great results. In the 5 years I have been going to this office, they saw me within 10 minutes of my scheduled time every time except once. I loved Tru-skin.However, today, I didn't have my new insurance card, I only had my dental insurance card which had my member ID on it but not my correct plan #. I started a new job a few months back and somehow, I forgot to bring my new card. I scrambled to pull it up on my phone but was not having any luck. The front desk person said she would get someone to help figure out. The person who came to help her did almost nothing then looked at me and said, you can either self-pay or go home and get your insurance card. I was mid trying to log into my insurance on my phone and looked up and ask her to repeat what she said. She said again, "you can either self-pay or go home and get your insurance card." She was not rude or mean. But she was cold and uncaring, simply a statement of fact.I was so disappointed. She made it very clear that I was just a number or money and nothing more. 5 years of always paying on time and even paying early or double paying when there were issues with my insurance meant absolutely nothing.She had absolutely no interest in helping me resolve my insurance card issue and was not going to do anything beyond typing in her computer. I am not interested in a place that makes me feel like I am just money to them. If they had done anything to try and help me figure out how to get my insurance sorted out, I would have been happy, but alas... Pay cash or go home and get your insurance.
