We had an absolutely outstanding experience using Visiting Angelsto help with my wife who has dementia. The individuals who came to our home were caring, conscientious and compassionate. They performed their duties flawlessly. The director Connie Glynn does a splendid job and goes out of her way to accommodate the needs of families dealing with dementia. I recommend Visiting Angels without hesitation for their professionalism and excellent care.

do not trust this company. you do not have to be legal gaurdian to tell visiting angles who can see the person they are watching just a family member. How can this be legal when the person being watched is paying the fee, ownes the house they live in and are of sound mind. dosen't matter the kids don't want their mother seeing anyone but them. i've seen tv shows about things like this and they never turn out good!

The first time that our family used the Angels was a number of years ago for our Dad, where Connie was able to put a 24/7 team in place for his care at the end of his life. Unfortunately, our Mom had reached that end stage and I called the same Angels! I was thrilled to know that Connie still had our family information in the agency's system and not only did we work with Connie, but met Louise, Jean and Sheila. All our Angels were skilled in hospice care and we could not have done with them.

I cannot say enough about the staff at Visiting Angels, Connie, Louise, Jean & Sheila were just amazing through a very difficult time with my mom. All the caregivers were just so caring , it was like they were taking care of their own mother. They are true Angels. I would highly recommend Visiting Angels for your loved one.

What follows is a portion of a letter I sent to Larry Meigs, president of Visiting Angels:I wanted to reach out and say a huge "Thank you," to you and your amazing company.Since November of last year, Wilma Herndon has been taking care of our Aunt Barbaraand Uncle Paul. Paul passed away two weeks ago, and Wilma is staying on with Barbara.While Wilma was initially called to assist Paul when he came home from the hospital, she quickly assessed the situation, and knew Barbara needed assistance as well. Wilma is one of the most caring and compassionate human beings I have ever met.She shepherds Barbara to all of her doctor appointments, lovingly helps Barbara pick outher outfits each day and makes sure that she is bedecked and bejeweled--Wilma knows how very importantthis is for her! When Uncle Paul was in the hospital, she told Aunt Barb that she would take her tosee Uncle Paul every day. She was true to her word and did just that. Wilma would visit with them both and then thoughtfully give them time alone.We have been juggling my father's progressing dementia combined with a hospital stay and subsequent move to a nursing home; as well as the situation with Aunt Barbara and Uncle Paul. At times it has been completely overwhelming. Wilma has made a very difficult situation much easier for us. She and I are in daily contact, usually with a text from her bringing me up to date on Barbara and how she is doing. The first question she always asks, "How is your dad?"I wanted to know how very blessed you are to have her as a part of your team, as we are blessed to have come to know and love her.

Starting with the director, Connie and consistently throughout the organization, the Visisting Angels were caring, compassionate and communicative. My siblinsgs and I slept better at night once we had a Visiting Angel for our Mom. Her needs have changed and she is moving on to assisted living, but having Visiting Angels provide support gave us time to do our research, consider many options and include our Mom in the pocess of finding the best place for her and not make a choice out of haste or necessity.
