Great local spot ! Solid BBQ. Gut pak is the best. The expansion area has lots of seating and TVs, and the owners changed the channel to another game for me when asked. One of my favorite Waco classics, we make it a point to go back on football weekends.

The gut pak is an unparalled culinary mountain of deliciousness that can only be washed down with pure cane sugar dr. pepper. The jalapeno sausage was a flavorful Kung Fu chop of deliciousness. I found the staff to be courteous and personable. The restaurant was clean and the sightlines to the game on the tv was clear. All in all, a good stop for a good meal.

Good BBQ joint. Favorite is the Guy buster. It's a Fritos pie with brisket and sausage. Atmosphere is fun. Big community table in the middle with booths around the outside. Neat covered area out back. Counter service to get your order. There is a bar, but I have not ever seen it open.

Vitek’s is good BBQ. The sausage is good, the pulled pork is good. Their signature dish is the Gut Pak, and it is very good if you’re hungry. The interior is nice, with classic decor and plenty of Baylor memorabilia. But the missing star in this review is because of the brisket. Texas BBQ is beef brisket, and Vitek’s is inconsistent. I’ve had great, average, and sometimes plain old bad. In their defense when I brought back the bad brisket (an impossible combination of dried out and greasy/grisly), they gave me a new cut from a new brisket. But if you’re in Waco, give Vitek’s a try. It’s a tradition you won’t forget.
