Feedback:

I have three small Starling birds that I need to housed quickly. Mom was killed by a cat on my front porch and the nest was torn down. I have them in a homemade nest but I need to get them to a safe environment right away. Does anyone here pick up the birds at all? I am in Monroe County and can't get to Ann Arbor anytime soon. Please help! They seem to be very healthy but need proper shelter- they only hatched a week ago. Thanks so much

Feedback:

This place is useless!!! I just called because a birds nest was disturbed obviously by accentident but it fell from the sofet of my roof and there was no way to put it back and i was told I committed a federal offense that they do take birds that can not but relocated but that I needed to call somewhere else. Absolutely ridiculous!!! The woman was obviously confused and was rude as all get out about me not being able to return the birds nest to a portion of my roof that's no longer there!!!!! Unbelievable.

Feedback:

This place is extraordinary. They help so many birds in a year - it is amazing. I appreciate that when I've taken an injured bird, the person taking it in takes the time to explain to me what may be going on with it and how they will help it. I ALWAYS give them a donation because I'm afraid that if I don't, they won't be there the next time I need help with a bird. The volunteers are so dedicated. We are blessed to have the Bird Center of Washtenaw County in our community.

Feedback:

On Wednesday March 15th we observed several people attempting to catch a wild turkey at the corner of Whittaker and Textile, so we called the sheriff's office and were advised that they had not authorized anyone to be out there attempting to catch that turkey. When asked, they identified themselves as being with "The Bird Center" but the thing that struck us as odd is that they were all in street clothes and shoes, two women were carrying their purses and the extent of their equipment were two 5' fine-mesh fishing nets. These people had absolutely no right to be out there, no idea what they were doing, fortunately very little chance of getting anywhere near that turkey and absolutely no clue about what they'd be in for if they actually got that 20+ lb turkey tangled in that fishing net. The only thing that was going to happen was that they might have chased it out into traffic to it's death. Fortunately, a deputy arrived and quickly dispatched them to their illegally parked vehicles and on their way. For an organization supposedly devoted to helping wildlife you'd think they would at least have a clue what they're doing.

There's a 3D sparrow parade when you walk up to the door. When you walk in they take your teeny hurt birds and make them better. Then they tell you how to track them thru life with their tag number. YAY! ty
