Called to reserve a call this morning at 7:30 a.m. Spoke to the national hotline and they told me 2 were available. Allowed me to book a car. 20 minutes later, I received a call from the Ames office confirming my rental. 6 hours later I got a call (90 minutes before my pick-up time) stating no vehicles were available. I asked if they could have gotten one in the 6 hours between my reservation, confirmation and when they called me back and they said "no, no cars." I asked what they could do for me (maybe a free rental in future, etc). "I can call you if we get a car, but we wont." Not helpful. Especially since I had a reservation AND then a confirmation from the location itself.
