My name is Jill Allen Stumpf. My husband & I spent a lovely two nights in Seaside, OR at the Quality Inn there, in January 2018. So when the opportunity came to travel to Belleville IL to visit family this July,I was pleased to see a Quality Inn listed in nearby O'Fallon. Or so I thought! When I rec'd the reservation confirmation e-mail,printed in red on the e-mail was a cautionary statement:""Please check location carefully...O'Fallon ,IL and O'Fallon MO are easily confused" That was news to me. I immediately called reservations and was told only the hotel manager could cancel the reservation. This was on April 27. Today's date is May 7. After three phone calls to Customer Relations and three to the the hotel itself, I finally spoke to the the hotel manger, Omar Patel. He told me because I booked thru a third party, my reservation was locked in and was already incurring fees. He would not cancel. Then I spoke to Alissa at the Choice Hotels Corporate Office. She also will have to speak to the hotel manager. I've listened to enough hold music with the message "Our customers are important to us," that I'm having a hard time believing it. I'm still hoping for a happy ending.
