This review is long overdue. We purchased our first home through the Benhams. Our Experience was in no way a positive one. We placed an offer on a house and we ended up losing our earnest money when we did not accept their counter offer. Our realtor told them some personal information when we declined their offer and the selling realtor refused to return our earnest money. Our realtor would do nothing for us to ensure it’s return, even though we asked many times. We never got it back. The house we ended up purchasing we didn’t want. We felt pressured into buying it. The house was being sold by our realtor’s friends, who also happened to be a realtor for the Benhams. We felt like she was working to sell their house more than working to help us find the house we were looking for. True, it was ultimately our decision, but being first time homebuyers and not having a good realtor (and feeling like we were under pressure), we made a horrible decision. We absolutely hated the house the whole time we lived there. So all in all, our experience with the Benhams was awful and I would never recommend them.
