BED BUGS! Hartington NE has more than 3 customers who've had bed bugs here!! Sad to say I found out after my experience. I am 18 weeks pregnant and was woken up from my sleep by itching on my arm it was so bad I turned the light on and saw 2 bugs instantly on the pillow area. Room service came immediately with new bedding, and while removing the old sheets, they lifted up the mattress to find several more! They moved me into another room and the bathroom had hair clinging to the shower walls. As if this wasn't disturbing enough, this hotel comes with signs laid out on the bed stating (not verbatim) "millions of hotels use so much water and detergent every day so please only put this sign on your bed if you want the sheets washed to be eco-friendly." That helps explain a lot. The rooms are set up nice but this is the LAST thing any guest wants to worry about! "Bed bugs aren't visible" oh yes they are especially if they've been feeding off blood and not treated. Lesson learned: bring your own sanitizing essentials if sleeping out of town. Gross.
