Feedback:

We consulted Exovations with a laundry list of projects that we wanted to do on our house. Josh Bailey was quite patient and understanding as we worked through all the things that we wanted to do, ultimately narrowing down the first phase to a new front porch with a replacement of the front door and window. During this process, we went through several different scenarios/models over several months and Josh was extremely helpful in laying out the costs of each of these so that we felt comfortable in our decision. Josh's upfront knowledge also helped us to minimize the cost surprises that will inevitably arise as the project progressed.Once the project started, Chris Craft took over with his crew(s) and they did a great job. As with any construction project, there were unforeseen opportunities (as Chris would say) and during each of these, Chris was very clear and open on the options to address, giving alternatives where appropriate. During the project, Chris would regularly discuss with me the timeline and general progress of the project. Having limited construction knowledge myself (I'm more of a numbers guy), I actually learned a lot about my house from these discussions. From a cost perspective, when you factor in the intangibles (i.e., Subcontractor arrangements and scheduling, permit pulling, inspection scheduling, quality control, etc...) the value that the Exovations team brings to the table, in my experience, was worth every penny. Without Chris and his team, I can only imagine the headaches and frustration that I would have experienced trying to find the expertise for each of the steps of the project and the scheduling involved, not to mention any quality issues that I may have run into given my lack of construction knowledge. To cap it off, the proof was in the pudding! The final product was awesome and we did not have to deal with a lot of the "stresses" involved with normal construction projects. Our experience was extremely positive and Exovations will be at the top of our list as we consider future home projects.

Thank god we did a small "test" project before committing to a 20k+ multi-stage renovation project with this company. They weren't the cheapest bid by a long shot, but we bought into the sales guy's pitch about paying for smooth roll-out and peace of mind. The reality? Started with a small roofing project, estimated to take two days. Workers came the first day, never came back. Contract stated they were supposed to clean the worksite daily, but left water bottles, broken shingles and plastic cups scattered around our yard. Nobody showed up to our scheduled after-project walkthrough two days later. We had no idea if the project was finished or not: leftover materials were still in our yard FOUR days later when I finally called the project manager that had been assigned to me. No pickup, just voice mail. Got a call later from someone else at the company with the excuse that the project manager had unexpectedly quit on them. That's great, but how exactly does that excuse the worker trash, crushed landscaping, abandoned leftover materials, and total radio silence from the company?I could have got twice the "peace of mind" for half the price. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

I cannot comment about the quality of Exovations' work but their business integrity is one star or lower. Exovations did an outdoor paint job at my neighbors house using paint sprayers. My car which was parked across the street ended up with a fine mist of paint on the side and top of the car which was confirmed by Classic Collisions. I took the car to Hennessy Lexus who agreed that it was paint and did a deep sand detail of the car. Fortunately that was all that was needed. The detail cost $250. Rather than file an insurance claim, I chose to call Exovations and ask that they pay part of the cost. I told the owner that I would bear some of the responsibility of the damage because I did park my car at the street even though the painters never informed me they were spray painting that day. The owner of Exovation was rude, accepted no blame or responsibility and hung up on me. I was polite on the phone, never cussing or raising my voice.. I live in a fairly large neighborhood and I hope that no one uses this company. A company that does not own up to their mistakes won't ever be successful. I hope potential customers will read this review before selecting Exovations.

GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE AFTER THE SALE!! I actually had Exovations complete two big projects for me in 2017. One was installation of several windows and two doors. Recently, we had a problem with one of the doors not locking properly. I emailed my salesperson and he actually answered and forwarded my email to the office while on vacation! When I contacted customer service they sent the person out who had installed it that same day to take a look. It's a bit of an unusual locking mechanism and turns out it was operator error on our part vs a problem with the door or the installation. 😳 They explained how to properly operate the door and didn't charge for the trip. Great service well after the installation, which is very important to me!

Asked Exovation for a cost to add a Portico and Front Porch. He quoted a price of $200 per square foot. They are trying to make $40,000 profit for 2 weeks work... Hahahaha! Thats almost 3 times the going rate! Shop around! Guess you can wait around for a sucker at $20,000 a week profit!Didnt even get into pricing the covered back porch, and opening an exterior wall, ( pretty basic for good remodeling/framing crew) I was told we were going beyond there expertise. He then tried to tell me I needed a new deck to attach the roof, yet the roof wasnt attaching to existing deck. When I pointed that out he admitted it probably wasnt needed but he wasnt sure they would do the job unless they could do the deck as well which more than doubled the price. Hahahaha Guess they dont quote inspectors often. He did say he usually cant close deal with anyone in the construction industry.Ok since I cannot respond to the response from Exovations I will add to this post. The response from the sales rep is very dishonest or shows he wasnt listening. 1st off the roof for the back deck being quoted was a shed roof that was not supported by the deck in any way as it extended beyond the existing deck and tied into the house roof structure. I pointed this out to the sales rep that it would need to have its own footing and he agreed but said they wouldnt consider it without doing the deck. At that I said well that would more then double the cost and he agreed sp I said lets focus on the front porch and portico then. I had estimated the deck and portico to be approx. 250 sq ft. and had used average rate of $75 per sq foot plus an extra $6000 for columns to figure a price. By the way $70 is the going rate but since I wanted nicer columns I added on a few grand to compensate. When he told me he was thinking it would be over $50,000 I laughed! Thats is over $200 per sq ft. Then I said that they are way over priced and we could end the process. He agreed and said we are obviously not for him. (Again he told me earlier he usually could sell today people in the construction industry). When I walk him to the door he tried one more time saying well dont forget to have to block, back fill and pour your porch. He said that alone would be $20,000 hahahaha.... Going rate to pour a concrete foundation is $15 - $20 per sq ft., and he was trying to sell me at $80. Thats 4 times the going rate! At that point laughed, told him I could get it poured all day long for $3000. He said it costs them $3000 just for rock fill. Hahahaha (thats expensive rock!) I told him find another sucker and shut the door! Again shop around! They are looking for suckers! Youve been warned

We requested a quote for remodeling a sunroom. One of their salespersons came out on a Saturday and had to have their construction manager come out later in the week in order to offer a proper quote. That was totally ok. Understandably they needed to know the scope of work before writing a proposal. The salesperson confirmed the construction manager had come out and we would recieve the quote in a fee days. Its now been over a month and still no quote. We've reached out, and the response is "I feel like I've sent the quote 20 times" yet its it's nowhere to be seen. I even asked them to copy a second email address in case I was having a problem with my email address. Nothing. If your company can't handle our project, is not interested, or other.... tell us! We are scheduling contractors who rely on the previous project to be complete, and dragging my quote out for over a month puts our project behind, costing us time and money. I wonder how they would feel if I sent them an invoice for money/time lost?

Fabulous service along with fantabulous finished product!!

I had a fantastic remodel with Exovations. They truly live up to their "Stress-Free Remodling" slogan. Tony Fricks, my project manager, kept me up to date on all my project milestones. The work crews were all courteous, professional and did fantastic work. Would definitely recommend!

Feedback:

We called Exovations in early November for a chimney siding job and had a pleasant experience with Chris in sales. He was friendly and knowledgeable and the quote given seemed fair. The follow up visit with the project manager Ken was quick - he spent about 5 minutes with us and said scaffolding would be needed and the quote would need to be changed. He said we would be hearing from him with a new quote and then sat outside of our home for almost an hour. A month and a half has gone by and we didn't hear anything from Ken. I even filled out a survey asking for a manager to contact me and nothing. A few weeks later I decided to call Chris - he was able to pull up the quote right away! So the quote was done. The price went up $1600 for ONE DAY of scaffolding. The fact that is was needed in the first place was questionable. Chris didn't catch it and we've had plenty of roofers use ladders with no problem. Secondly, the 25% increase in price is ridiculous. And on top of that, having to contact them multiple times and them being completely unresponsive. Don't bother doing the survey, they don't read it or don't care. I would not recommend doing business with this company.

Our project this year was to replace the siding and paint our 25yr old home. After doing an extensive research on various contractors we decided on Exovations. Our salesman Chris S. was very professional and did an outstanding job of meeting all our needs within our budget including several additions to the project.Chris C. our project manager was an absolute delight to work with. He was very professional and personal. he visited our home regularly to ensure that the job was being completed to our satisfaction.Carlos and his Siding crew also did an outstanding job installing the siding to James Hardie specifications.Miguel and the painting crew did an awesome job. They paid attention to detail and took great pride in their work and it shows. We are receiving so many compliments from our neighbors. Miguel the gutter installer did a wonderful job installing our new gutters and guards which definitely compliments the entire renovations. Our experience with Exovations was beyond our expectations and the entire project was completed within the time framed scheduled. I would definitely use this company again and highly recommend them.
