After working with Home Helpers for years for my Aunt followed by my Grandma, I can honestly say I don't know what we would have done without them. The caregivers were caring and reliable and the office staff, management, nurse, and owners were always there if we needed something. Multiple times in and out of the hospital over the years gave us proof of Home Helpers ability to act quickly and meet our needs even with last minute changes. Many of the caregivers were like family. I can't say enough positive things about our experience. Highly recommend!

If you’re seeking the most compassionate and caring home care agency for your loved one, you’ve found it in Home Helpers. Their many years of experience has earned them the highest praises from families they’ve served, and as a result, they have been recognized nationally(!) for their superior service. As a home care agency owner in another state, my goal is to emulate what Kristin and her team does so that I can give the families I serve the same peace of mind knowing that their loved one is receiving the highest level of care possible.

When we think about the services Home Helpers provided, we don't even know where to begin with all the Thank You’s! Our mom and dad lived in a retirement community and we used Home Helpers on occasion when one or the other was not doing well for one reason or the other. But when our dad died and our mom moved from Independent Living to Assisted Living we figured we would not need them anymore. Boy, were we wrong! When we thought our mom would enjoy the company of all the new neighbors, she actually, to our surprise, became somewhat of a recluse. For one reason or another she was embarassed by what aging was doing to her body and really didn't want to be social anymore, plus the fact she was very depressed from our dad’s passing. So even though Assisted Living was providing her services such as meals, laundry, cleaning, etc., it was very clear mom needed a full time companion. At 94 she was still walking around with a walker, but her every movement was very slow and calculated. She was an accident waiting to happen. Home Helpers came in for 12 hours a day and provided mom with much needed social activity, friendship, meal companionship, straightening, and bathing assistance. Mom was very particular about how she looked and caregivers would even iron clothes for her. The caregivers really came to know Mom quite well and would encourage her to go out for activities or take her up the the lake to feed the ducks. They recognized that mom was very independent and would always try to do everything by herself. Even though it could take 2 hours to bathe and get dressed, they always remained patient with her. They also came to know how hard of hearing mom was and could eventually tell whether mom understood them or not as she would generally not say she couldn’t hear you. They helped her put in her hearing aids when it became difficult, and sometimes they even had to write on a whiteboard to communicate. They became very good friends and often told us they really loved working with Mom. The care logs they filled out were always wonderful to read to find out how her day went. The office staff was very helpful when we had concerns about new caregivers and would quickly attend to our needs as it related to Mom. We strongly recommend Home Helpers as they truly do offer the same services as they would their own mom. They understand even the smallest of concerns and immediately take care of them. The caregivers also know how to work at the facilities and get along wonderfully with the staff. If ever we need help again we will no doubt call them!

I wanted to take this opportunity to share my (abridged) story about my experience with Home Helpers. A few days after Christmas, my Mother (who lives alone) was taken to the hospital after a fall. While she was beginning to recover, we found out that my Mother was to be released the day after New Year’s. The social worker at the hospital was of no use and so from 500 miles away, I desperately called various care givers, reaching out to nearly a dozen. Of all the providers, George was the only one who not only was ready and willing to provide services (at a good rate), but also was instrumental in helping my family through the process and masterfully securing my Mothers safety and comfort upon her return home. We had 24-hour care for a while and each professional who came to help was as gracious and helpful as the previous provider. My Mother couldn’t stop raving about the care, concern and appropriate level of support. We will likely be using Home Helpers as my Mother continues to remain in her home.While it was a harrowing experience for my family, the brightest and most comforting moments were all due to George and the professionals at Home Helpers.Not only do I highly recommend them, I will also be customer when any needs arise.
