Jen is a lovely lady. I spent 5 and a half hours in her salon and we had a nice time. Good chats. I came in with platinum hair growing out and was tired of having roots! I told her I wanted to have my natural hair ombred together with the platinum I already had so it looks nicer and more “natural” than just having 4 inches of my natural hair and a straight cut to the platinum. Roots, right? I’ve had natural hair my whole life, and had to dye it platinum for a modeling job.The whole point was to not have to do any color maintenance or have to worry about having roots again. Jen told me that she would need to do several treatments for this process. Now I’m no hair dresser, but I don’t think it would’ve taken more than one process. Anyways. Jen told me since half my hair is already bleached we may as well have fun with it and dye the blonde part purple, and dye my natural hair ONE shade darker than my natural hair so that it balances with the darker purple we are putting in. I was told that the roots won’t be terrible and won’t need maintenance. Lol. She was saying that most hair dressers don’t know how to dye hair a darker shade of brown, that other hair dressers make it black. My hair.... is black. My roots are worse than before. I look like a grandmother with the contrast of black and my light brown hair that’s growing in. I also had scalp burns, and now dandruff that’s pretty out of control. Never had these problems before. For $350 I’m disappointed, because now I have to re-dye my hair and spend more money. I just wanted to have nice hair that would just need trims. No More chemicals. Just natural. I’m just sad with how my hair looks. I’m really sad that now I have to deal with roots again. I didn’t get what I asked for, nor what I paid for. Thanks for reading.
