Client Review on Mr. Handyman
Feedback:
I contact this company to adjust and possibly replace the hardware in several of my mom's oak kitchen cabinets. I spoke with Ruth. The employee came out and did adjust 3 cabinet doors. One of the doors had come down and the employee went to the local hardware in an attempt to find the part. He returned with what he thought was the part and it did not fit. When he left, he returned his purchase to the hardware and told us that he was taking the part to another hardware that he knew of, in the hopes of finding the part. We waited approximately 10 days and heard nothing from him. I finally contacted him and he told me that he passes by the place and he had not stopped to pick up the order. He said that he would stop by there and get back with me. Another week rolled by, no word. I called him again, and to my surprise, he admitted that he had never taken the part to the new hardware and he was still carrying it around. I then asked him to return the part to us so that we could move on. Well it's now 3 weeks in and no part.I called the office and spoke with Ruth. She was going to look into it for me. It's now a month. Her excuse was that he had been busy with another job in Brighton. I waited two days and we spoke again. When she was supposedly calling me, I was calling her. She said that she had finally gotten the part from the workman, and instead of him returning it, like a sincere serviceman should, her options were that "another workman in the area could bring it by or she could drop it in the mail". I said to put it in the mail so that we can be done. I don't know the person that she was trying to send by. I said that I would expect the part by the end of the week.Well, guess what, the post poffice delivered an empty envelope stating that the envelope was mailed empty and was not sealed. So, I still didn't have my part. Did she even mail it and the bigger question is, did he even find it? Did a postal employee steal a piece of cabinet door hardware and the bigger question is how can you steal a piece of cabinet hardware from an envelope when the envelope so shows that it clearly was not sealed. So, Regardless as to whether or not you decide to use this company, keep in mind that THEIR employee lied and was untruthful from the beginning. Then he continued to cover one lie with another. Once a liar, always a liar.I tell people to stay clear of this company and if YOU decide to use them, do so with caution.
