My girlfriend and I went to this location today to get our chihuahua's nails trimmed. Our dog isn't the friendliest so as soon as we saw the groomer, we told her that she would need a muzzle. The groomer said "oh, so she is a s***?" which was our first red flag. She helped bring our guard down by assuring us that she has chihuahuas at home and knows how to deal with them. She then slapped the muzzle on our dog and told us to wait in the front for her to finish. Now, our philosophy in getting her nails trimmed is to have her nails at a comfortable length without damaging her cuticles, and without hurting our dog in the process. This groomer did not see it this way at all. As we turned the corner, we heard our dog screaming for bloody murder. I wish I would have recorded it as soon as we heard it because I've never heard something so gut wrenching. It felt like hearing nails on a chalkboard and watching a train wreck at the same time. This continued for about 30 seconds, stopped for a minute or so, and then she screamed for the last 30 seconds of it. It felt like it was an eternity of course. We went to pick her up once she was done and the groomer said that she had pooped and peed herself, as if that plus all the screaming was just another day at the office. She didn't even bother to clean her so we had to bathe her when we got home. Not to mention she cut her nails way too short. You can see the tip of the cuticle on most of her nails and the nail I pointed out in the picture is more cuticle than nail! It was the most awful 15 minutes that we've dealt with in a really long time. Not to mention as we walked out, a lady brought her dog for a trim and the dog looked like it was having a seizure from how bad he was shaking out of fear. I can't speak for any of their other services, but if you're worried about your dog's comfort, trim their nails yourself.
