I have never had it professionally cleaned. Im a self-proclaimed DYI girl but lets face it, the rental dirt devil carpet cleaners, bissell, oreck etc can only do so much. and yes, i have done all three on my house. and yes my carpet looked so much better!!! ... for a max of two days. 30 year old carpet thats the lightest creme color seemed absolutely hopeless.Enter Gary with West Coast professional Carpet Cleaning. He was referred to me by another local business who was booked up for several weeks -- I was on a time crunch to get my house clean and amazing. We spoke for a while about my needs and his carpet knowledge and he gave me a very spot on quote. To take his service further, he agreed to come over prior to our scheduled cleaning for an accurate quote and so I could meet him (i wasnt comfortable having someone I had never met entering my house on his alone while at work). Due to delay in finishing his last job and suffering through traffic, he came over around 7:30pm. I was so appreciative!He was very honest about what my expectations should be based on its age and condition, and explained how he uses a very thorough process to lift out the deep-down-in-there dirt within the carpet mat -- this is an important step to get your carpet cleaning to LAST, and not all companies do this. you get what you pay for, after all. He went on to explain it more scientifically with pH etc(science is a bit over my head but i appreciated it!), stating he starts with a 9 and then does a second time with a 5 (i think). he also went room to room with me telling me things to remove from the floor prior to his work.the outcome? whatever he does, he does it REALLY WELL. As requested, he texted me when he had finished the job. I couldnt believe it when I came home; my carpet looked BRAND NEW. no joke, it was even coloring throughout the space, including the high traffic areas. he left me two sets on booties so I could wear in the house and keep it awesome. i was also really impressed with how dry it was after only a few hours -- meaning he extracts moisture really well. on a cool and overcast winter day, that was really appreciated.super fair price for a large 3 bedroom, two story house with a staircase. and such an honest and personable 1-man-show. i love to support local businesses who take pride in there work...so when you need your carpet cleaned and your mind defaults to those large chain companies - consider this instead. cant speak highly enough about the experience. for the first time in nearly 5 years i walked into my house and SMILED instead of stared embarrassingly at all the stains that come with being a cat owner. that reaction and pride I now have is pretty much priceless.thanks again Gary.
