Client Review on Window Genie

I called Window Genie after reading the reviews as well as doing research about the history of the company. I set up an appointment initially for a Tuesday, but emailed the local franchise owner to reschedule. He showed up anyway without me being home and stated it was easier for him instead coming out on Friday. So, I could not point out exactly what I wanted done. I got the quote and we set up a time for Jim and Ben to come out and the franchise owner stated that it would take approximately 2 to 2 1/2 hours to complete the work. Well, only Jim came out and all what was done was the inside of the windows and the outside of the living room windows as well as two bedroom windows. I was surprised that he did not do the window sills. I approached and he said that would entail a different bid. Well, as I recall from the website, their motto is "we clean the windows in and out, including the sills, corners, etc.. He quoted me a different prize including the sills, sides, and the work already completely for approximately $295. The technician stated it would be easier for him to come again and do everything at that point. We agreed on a new time and date. I did mention to him that the painters would be out that day but he could do it so long they haveexcess to the windows. Today, I called the franchise owner to let him know the windows are taped up. Well, after going back and forth, trying to determine exactly what has been agreed upon on (he has not visited the house after the work was completed nor contacted me if everything was done to complete satisfaction) he told me "I tell you what I wish you a Merry Christmas" and basically ended the conversation. That was immensely rude. I have never dealt with anybody this unprofessional and such rudeness. Normally, when there is a disagreement you try to work with the customer or at least remain on common ground. This franchise owner does not get any high marks from. I have worked in customer service all my life and have been dealing with employees calling in not having daycare, or are sick, etc.. It seemed to me he was more concerned about not having enough people and trying to resolve his manpower issues with me on the phone. Instead, he should have told me that they could not come today due to a manning shortage.. Now I am sitting here with half clean windows and a company which did not fulfill its promise of doing a hassle free job by respecting people and their property. Will see how it goes in the future!
