833 Flatbush Avenue: 6/5/18 At about 6:50 p.m. Please avoid signing up at this gym at all costs. This Gym is not deserving of even one star! The branch manager who failed to identify himself as such, being completely deceitful, is very rude, but much worse, he is extremely aggressive. As I am speaking to the female manager, he cuts through the conversation and rudely interjects “so what’s the point?!” as I am trying to explain to the female manager why my discontent with with the cancellation of my one-on-one session to show me and my daughter how to use the gym equipment before working out the first time. He then puts both his hands on the girl’s body and turns her around and brings her to the front desk to stop her from continuing to converse with me. After seen such disrespect and aggressiveness, I wanted to cancel my membership. I requested to speak to the branch manager.He tells me that he would call him, and give him my number and have him reach out to me. Then, both, he and the femsle manager with him, go inside the office next to the front desk. However, when they come out the office, they came out laughing, and she says, “it’s funny b’cause he’s actually the branch manager,” and he laughs, and says “yeah, I’m actually the branch manager.” I asked him as to why he had not identified himself, and he didn’t say anything. He then gives me the membership contract I had filled out two days before, and tells me to sign it and pay a $75 cancellation fee. After I expressed that this was unfair because I felt forced to cancel after his unprofessionalism, but especially and specifically his agressiveness. I was going to take a picture of the contract for my records since I was never provided with a copy, when he yanked the paper off my hands, and said “you know what, don’t pay anything. It’s cancelled.” I was not even provided with any proof of this verbal membership cancellation made by him. I called a few minutes later, to request if I could be provided with proof of the membership cancellation to make sure that I was not going to receive surprise cancellation fees later on. The female manager said the male manager I mentioned before had done a house cancellation and only he could give me proof of it. She said he could send me an e-mail confirming the membership cancellation.after so much unprofessionalism from this supposedly branch manager, who happens to be a deceitful, and very rude and aggressive one.
