Feedback:

Although the insulation was installed well I am left with a problem. When installing I was never told nor asked about stripping some electrical off my wall and now I am left with a dangerous electrical situation. I should have been given options and asked what I wanted done instead of them doing what they felt was fit. I hope they are willing to resolve this issue as soon as I hear back from them.

Feedback:

In Dec. 2019, I had extensive work done on my attic - air sealing, installing new insulation, a new catwalk, an insulation box over my attic ladder, improving the duct work from my bathroom fans. They did an excellent job and were pleasant to deal with. They responded promptly to my concerns subsequent to finishing the job. My only reservation was their price - $10,000 which I thought was high. but I proceeded anyway because I had confidence that they would do the job right.

Feedback:

Total bait-and-switch. I should have been suspicious of the way the rep who came out to our house for an estimate insisted on going through the house listing potential projects, rather than focusing on the nursery as requested. But I let it go because the solution he offered to our insulation problem made the most sense. When he sent over the contract, I was quick to sign for what I believed was a reasonable price. But days later, after having my calls and emails ignored, the rep informed me that there was a minimum price---nearly three times what I was quoted for the job. He suggested I add on one of the other projects he had mentioned during the visit. How convenient. He promised to try to find some way to squeeze me in at the original price, but assured that adding more work to meet the minimum was the best way of getting the job done. I said no. And haven't heard back from him since. Disappointing to say the least, duplicitous at best.

Feedback:

Do not recommend this company. They won’t help you with your issues unless the project is more than $3,000. We just wanted our basement insulated but apparently that’s too small of a job for them.

Feedback:

Disappointed, they state they are a better company, they will be on time, & will have the supplies and parts needed for the job. Our basement was originally assessed in October '18, eight weeks later in December '18 the crew arrived to insulate and replace the windows in the basement, no windows. We were promised a call to coordinate their return & that call never came. As the consumer I had to chase down a solid date, they arrive hours late, again I had to call to get a straight answer on when they were arriving, one window was the incorrect size after 2 different opportunities to measure correctly, once again they are unable to complete the job and will have to come out a third time. Poor communication, a bad call-center based system resulting in being passed to more than 5 people, my time and money wasted as I spend a whole day home waiting on them, we do not reccomend Dr. Energy Saver & will not be repeat customers.

Feedback:

Ever since me moved into our house we wanted to improve its insulation. Our master bedroom was the worst, with three outside walls, an unheated garage below and vaulted ceilings. We called it our "summer bedroom" because we could not stay there for most of the winter and would retreat into one of the spare bedrooms after catching a first cold. On average it was 10 degrees colder than the rest of our house! Our vaulted ceiling had mold growing at the top. Twice I used my 12-ft step ladder to remove the mold with bleach and painted the ceiling with mildew- proof paint only to see the mold come back after 2..3 years. I thought it was happening due to condensation caused by poor insulation, but it turned out that the moist air was entering our bedroom through the ridge vent and vaulted ceiling ridge trim. This also explained cold winter drafts. We saw a lot of ads about spay foam insulation but were concerned about high price and also failed installations with nasty smell remaining in the house. Then, in May 2018 our house was struck by the tornado. A 100-year-old oak tree fell on our roof and went through the vaulted ceiling. We had to replace the ceiling sheetrock and decided to upgrade our old fiberglass bats with closed spray foam with 2x R-value. We contacted Dr. Enery Saver and scheduled an interview with their specialist. The price quote was reasonable. Knowing that they have 30 year experience of working with spray foam and every one of their employees goes through proper training to avoid pitfalls of improper foam installation gave us confidence in the company. Hence, we decided to sign a contract. The installation team was very professional and caring about not damaging our house. They covered all walking areas with cloth and even wore special booties on top of their regular boots as to not damage the hardwood floors. They covered the walls and floors with plastic to prevent them from being sprayed. After the job was finished, they removed all coverings and trash. When I returned to look at their work, I felt that a few areas were undersprayed and I called Dr. Energy Saver. There was no arguing or fighting: the team came out again, covered walls and floors with protective plastic just as meticulously as they did the first time and sprayed the foam where it was missing. To me, it's an indication that Dr. Energy Saver stands by its work not just on paper, but in practice. What about the spray foam itself? It's been a month and my bedroom has a new ceiling. It feels much warmer now, with temperature being within 2 degrees of the rest of my house. I feel no drafts at all because, in addition to having higher insulating R-value, the foam acts as a sealer. As a bonus, mice no longer roam inside the walls because the foam blocked their pathways. I'm pretty confident that my mold problem is also solved, since there is no way for moist air to enter through the ridge vent like it did before.

Always pleasant and helpful

Feedback:

I just worked with Dr Energy Saver to get insulation installed in my house. I would absolutely recommend them to any friends or family. From the beginning of the process through the final inspection, this company was a pleasure to work with. I would like to especially thank Keith Saunders and Johnny Lopez. Keith was beyond helpful while simply conduction the inspection and developing a quote. He really helped get me a service that was within my budget. Come installation day, Johnny was incredibly respectful and a pleasure to work with. Johnny ensured that everything was done right and the house was spotless after. Again I will absolutely be recommending this company to my friends and family.

Feedback:

Keith Saunders is great. Quick, to the point, got the job done right away with no issues. His crew did our 4 ft crawl space and it looks fantastic! Calling him for insulation now. Great company who truly cares about perfecting your home.

Feedback:

Dwight Downer and his crew, David and Clive showed up on time and were professional through the task. They were informative and kept me involved through the task. When task was complete, the crew showed me the task and cleaned up my home. I would recommend Dr. Energy to my friends and family.
