The 1 star is only for a few people within customer service that actually tried to help my situation. Communication between all parties is terrible. I scheduled my POD to be delivered on 8/22 10 days prior to the actual delivery date. I was not contacted prior to the day of delivery, then received a call from the delivery driver asking for the size of the driveway. He confirmed he needed 12 ft by 16 ft clearance, which I provided 14 ft by 20 ft. My delivery window was between 10:30 and 1:30 PM. By 1:45, I still had not received my belongings, so I called the driver back. He confirmed he would not be delivering the POD as 'upper management' made the decision that they wouldn't deliver. I was told I'd be contacted by someone within PODs management on 8/22. It's now 8/28 and I have yet to be contacted by the company. I've spent approx. 3 hours on the phone with CS and billing. Finally, someone in CS submitted a delivery dispute for me, but I have not been contacted about that yet either. I was told the only way to get my belongings was to do a self pickup, because nobody could get ahold of anyone at the Elgin warehouse to schedule a re-delivery. I picked up my belongings on 8/24, then was still charged for a delivery, as well as 1 month's rent for 8/25-9/24, even though my POD had been cleared. EXTREMELY disappointed in the service provided. I will steer anyone interested in PODs to a competitor or suggest hiring movers in the future. This has been a terrible experience.

I had such a bad experience over a year ago that still every time I see one of their trucks or advertisements I get tense and curse their name. As a long term self-moving customer, I thought this company’s service would save me time loading/unloading into storage but it ended up being a horrible decision. Long story short, they are great picking up your stuff but a nightmare to get it back. If there is any slight issue, you will be totally screwed and they will do nothing for you, not even let you talk to anyone locally. The office doesn’t have anyone there to talk to. So you’re at mercy of customer service agent who will not escalate your issue or do anything to help you. While everyone in the moving industry seems to not care much for customer service, this company sets an even lower bar than I had previously thought possible. If you choose to put your belongings in one of their units, you will probably live to regret it and curse their name for months or years in the future.
