I went to the store on Fredericksburg road in San Antonio . I gave them 1000 upfront for a sofa sleeper and a recliner and they brought me them with bed bugs ..after having them a week my mom was getting bit and went to the hospital to be told it was bed bug bites ..then I had 2 exterminators come out and inspect and sure enough it was. I complained to them and not once did the store manger ever call me back. I had to call and call over and over again and deal with Ruben ..first they could refund me Like 700 of my money for bs reasons and now he starts having issues with his computer that won’t allow for me to get a refund on my cc. So now he has to send over a fax to corporate to request for a check to be mailed to me. This has been a total nightmare. And I had to buy new sofas from famsa that was another 1000 there. And when I call they make it sound as if I’m a bother or the issue. Oh and I called corporate just to be transferred back to the store. What a joke don’t ever buy from them worst service EVER!

I was "renting" and LG 55 inch OLED tv. Now mind you I have paid off and bought several items at this place. About 2 weeks ago the tv stops turning on. I call rentacenter and they send an employee out. He turns it on and calls the store manager says i dont see anything broken outside or inside the tv it just wont turn on. I spoke to the store manager he says we can give you a loaner. I said no i dont want this or anything else. They take the tv. I dont hear a word from them for 2 weeks. Than today they call asking for my payment. I told him i returned that and do not want it or anything else. I said im not paying for something indont have and i didnt break. He says well we havnt figured out why it wont turn on. Not my Problem. Seriously its rental i didnt break it it stopped working not oaying for it.

Manning, SC. Store manager ALANDA BRAND is the worst experience I've encountered with any store in my life. After having completed several paid off rental agreements. This power tripping (new) manager has degraded and devalued thousands of dollars the site previously profited from me. Her attitude towards me was narcissistic, prejudiced, and disrespectful. She actually reversed and breached a signed paid contract. I look forward to seeing this ugly example of misuse of authority in a court room.

I was having a issue with a few from the illinois area in east moline/ quad cities but I contacted the corporate office in Tx and they took my complaint and had the district manager from rock island call me because the lady at the east moline store was very rude and hung up on me (the issue was resolved) I've been a customer with Rent A Center since 2012 and will continue to be a costumer. Some people aren't good with everyone, I had to reach out because East Moline store manager was on vacation, had he been there I wouldn't have looked further for assistance but I'm glad I did. Thank you to the corporate office and district manager from Rock Island. Everyone stay blessed!

Terrible customer service they can’t even respond to any issue you may be having don’t even try dealing with these people

These people can not keep employees very long,horrible in every aspect. The absence of professionalismis what you will notice first within the store and on the phone when they badger you for payments. Rent a Center is of course a predatory lender type operation, but they take that a step further,they have the employees acting like zealous untrained collectors with zero knowledge of what customer service is all about. I do not feel as if they can be trusted. Use them only as a last resort and be prepared to regret it!

For the corporate as a whole it's a shame you charge folks almost 100 percent more on top of what an item is worth everywhere else. Such as a tv that is 50 inch and sells for 400 you guys charge close to 700. And if you go the full term. Watch out it's in the thousand range. Your convenience of weekly pay is nice but overcharging on items to an absolute extreme is really awful. Thanks
