Feedback:

Just don't do it! There are plenty of companies around that can do mediocre installations of windows. This company can't reach the lower bounds of mediocre. The windows leaked and when called the company said they are not responsible for installations over 1 year old and we were at the 2 year mark. Pulled the damaged drywall from around the window to find gaps in excess of tow inches. The windows were too small for the openings and they put up vinyl strips on the exterior to fill the gaps between the windows and the exterior walls. As the caulk dried out the water came in. I am not guessing at this, my insurance company sent a structural engineer out that identified the problem. They don't stand by their work, infuriating lack of responsibility, will see them in court. 8/19/19 update, three windows mechanisms down so far...keep you posted.

BEVER USE WINDOW WORLD !!!!They WILL NOT DO WHAT THEY PROMISE IN PERSON. THEY TELL YOU ONE THING TO GET YOU TO WRITE THEM A CHECK OR CHARGE HALF OF THE COST IF WINDOWS AND THEY THEN TURN AROUND AND SAY YOU SIGNED A CONTRACT FOR.......THEY STEAL YOUR MONEY...THEY WILL NOT REFUND YOUR MONEY..THEY HOLD YOU AND YOUR MONEY CAPTIVATED... YOU ARE AT THEIR "Mercy" NEVER EVER USE THESE PEOPLE..

Should have listened to my friends when I was told not to have Window World of Rhode Island vinyl side my home. I have a two family home and am in my sixth week of having them work on it with only have completed. They did not have to tear off the old shingles, only lay over the old ones. They fired the first crew of only two guys who showed up only when they wanted to and goofed around more than they worked. Sent a total of 9 guys to my house to do the work with only one or two of them showing up at a time. 6 weeks later I have gotten every excuse in the books why it is not done and only half completed. I have been told not to contact the office or talk to the contractors about the job and to only talk to their installation manager who I believe is a professional trained liar. Some of the excuses are the contractors truck broke down (Twice), The contractors were sick ( at least four different times), today the contractors father past away (what about the rest of the crew, why couldn't they show up). Trust me on this folks, DO NOT do business with Window World of Rhode Island if you want your house done on time.

I've read so many wonderful stories about Window World. Unfortunately, my experience wasn't wonderful. My installation was scheduled three times before the windows were installed, resulting in a loss of work time. Window World accepts no corporate accountability for their scheduling mistakes. When the installation finally took place, two of my windows don't lock, a third is scratched (looks like it was drug over concrete) and when I attempted to open one window (a slider) it literally came off the track and into my hands. I've called Window World regarding these issues with no response.

If I could rate Window World lower, I would. Had windows done by Window World of Tidewater and they were Outstanding. Because of that I went back to have a $12000 siding job done. Contract signed in Oct 2017 with delivery specified in Jan/Feb 2018. When I called at the end of Feb, I was told that they were only now scheduling the July 2017 contracts and that I wouldn't see my house done until the end of April. The salesman then called to dissuade me from cancelling the contract and offered two gift cards for a local restaurant and he promised to call me by Mar 1st to see about getting my house done earlier. He called on Mar 1, 2018 and told me it would be the end of April. At the end of March, the installer called and left a message to coordinate a time to come and look at the house to confirm the order. I have tried for 3 weeks to talk with the installer and have left numerous messages to no avail. I call the Tidewater office on 16 Apr and was told that the new installer would call me the next day to coordinate material delivery and go over the site with me. That was yesterday. Called the Tidewater office today and told he was supposed to call yesterday but he would call today. I called corporate and was told that they don't get involved in franchisee relations with customers. They have had $6100 of my money for 6 months and I have seen nothing. I want to cancel the order and try to get my money plus interest back, but that won't happen because the contract states that I can't. I find it quite interesting that I will be held to the terms of the contract but Window World does not. Very bad company. Go somewhere else if you need work done!!!

I should have read all the negative comments posted here, but it is too late. I am planning to post more details after my windows are installed, although I still don't know when the installation will be completed. I have had two appointments for installation, but they haven't done anything yet. What is the point of making appointments? No apology from them. I had to apologize to other contractors for cancelling twice the other schedules related to my project. The installation manager told me that I should have been more careful to make the other appointments, but I based those appointments on Window World's schedule. It seemed he just tried to imply that everything is my fault, but I consulted with the other contractors and put a couple of extra days between the appointments. Often Window World people don't reply to my text and/or voice mail. I don't feel I am treated in a fair way. They need work ethics and more knowledge in window installation. According to my experience, they don't really care about their customers, once the initial 50% payment is made. A lot more to say after the job is done. I will share the information through all my social network accounts to prevent further victims. Just in case they will delete my comments, I will take the snap shot of the screen with my posting here. I will also leave a note somewhere for the police, just in case something happens to me.Interim review 1: On Dec 28, 2017, they left a message on my phone to make the third appointment. I called a couple of times, but nobody answered, so I left a message, but they haven't called me back. This morning (Jan. 3, 2018), I found their phone number is not in service any more. Amazing!Interim review 2: Today is Jan. 8, 2018. They called me last week and insisted that I make an appointment for today. I clearly stated that there should be no failure this time. The installers were supposed to come between 9:00am and 10:00am. I waited until 11:10am and left for work. I didn't call them, because I didn't even trust them when they made the third appointment. A very funny company! They don't know the definition of appointment. I am very curious what they will say when they call me to make the fourth appointment. .......... Now, it is 5:33pm and I am back from work. There has been no phone call from them, and nothing was done again.Interim review 3: Today is Tuesday, Jan. 9. Installers came in the morning and said the appointment is today, although the person who made the appointment had clearly said it would be Monday, Jan. 8. Anyway, finally the windows are installed, and the installers were nice. So far, their products look good. However, one remaining problem at this point is a small space above a door. They made the door too short (or their door is always short). But, after going through all the troubles, I feel that I am lucky because they didn't make the door too tall (or their door is not too tall).Interim review 4: Today is March 20. There were some minor problems with the installation, and I contacted them a few days after, but they haven't done the follow-up service yet. Do not expect them to do it when you need the service. They don't care. Also, the blinds I ordered with the windows were installed a few weeks ago. This company is unbelievably slow in work.Since the character limit exceeded, I will continue in another posting.

i have never been so frustrated with a company. we are going on day 96 of no windows! i call at least every week and am told the windows are going on the truck this week. it is all a lie! they will not give me the direct line to their manager, the sales person i worked with will not return my calls, and when i called the corporate office they said there was nothing they could do. This company is a FRAUDULENT company.

Big mistake, we bought our windows 2 years ago. Our house has been colder since we got the windows, light bill is highest it has been in 19 years since we got them installed. There is a draft on all the windows. I used incense to indicate the air flow. I feel like our windows were pieced together. My wife complained to the installers when they came down on one issue and they told her, "what do you expect, you bought the cheapest" . We are using plastic up to the windows to keep out the cold.A $250.00 electric bill with new windows, thermostat is set at 69 and we have a new furnace. What is wrong with this picture.

I am about to replace my windows. I was about to call your place here in El Paso,TX, at Mesa. Thank God one of my friends gave me a verbal warning about their work here in El Paso. They didn’t do good work and when he claim a minor ( 5 minutes work ) warranty, they show up and said they would come back in a few days. After a few days, my friend call them again and the young man that went the first time, was the same one on this final time; he went on a bad mode to do it, 5 minutes took him to do it. Why in the world he didn’t do that work the first time!!!. Thank God I’m ready but not in a hurry. Will look around. On the worst case I’ll buy them across the border in Juarez, Mexico and have someone else install them. God bless America and your business, I won’t give you mine. Thanks.Ps. No wonder they have only 1 star rating:)
