What was the best part of the experience?

Overall, FMS and Chris have been very responsive and helpful throughout the process. The team has been easy to work with, communicative, and willing to answer questions quickly, which made a complicated process much smoother.

What would you change about the experience?

The biggest area I would improve is the app development and proposal scoping process. I would have preferred a much more detailed proposal upfront so expectations, deliverables, integrations, and functionality were clearly defined from the beginning. The proposal was broad, which created blurred lines around what was included versus what required additional development costs. As a result, I now have to bring in an outside agency for areas I originally assumed were covered. With how quickly AI and software capabilities have evolved over the last 6 months, the app is now overpriced for the product I will be receiving, and the original proposal pricing no longer aligns with current market value. The app is still being developed, but there should be more flexibility in adapting proposals as technology rapidly changes. Unfortunately, FMS was unwilling to waiver from the original proposal structure despite how much the technology landscape changed during development.

Working with FMS has been a great experience overall. Their team has been extremely helpful throughout the franchise development process, especially with the FDD, operations manuals, and state filing guidance. They helped simplify a very complicated process and were always willing to walk through questions in detail. One thing that really stood out was how personal the communication felt. Chris and the team were very responsive, easy to reach, and genuinely invested in helping us move the brand forward. It never felt like we were just another client in a queue. Their experience with franchising, compliance, and documentation was clear throughout the process, and they provided a strong foundation for us as we launched our franchise system.

What was the best part of the experience?

Chris Conner and his team at FMS have been incredible to work with from day one. They took our 18-year pack walking business and built out a complete franchise system — FDD, operations manual, branding, marketing materials, and state registration. Chris is responsive, knows the franchise world inside and out, and gave us honest guidance at every step. Tim Conner on the operations side was thorough and detail-oriented. The marketing team produced a professional brochure and landing page that we’re proud to share with prospects. They made a complex process feel manageable.

What would you change about the experience?

Honestly not much. The process takes time and there are a lot of moving parts, but that’s franchising, not FMS. If anything, we would have liked a slightly faster turnaround on some of the early FDD revisions, but once things got moving the pace picked up significantly. Overall no real complaints.

Feedback:

We came to FMS with a proven dog walking business and a vision to franchise it nationally. Chris and his team turned that vision into reality. The FDD is done, our brochure looks great, the operations manual is solid, and we’re now actively preparing to sell our first franchise. We’ve already gotten press coverage from a major pet industry publication based on the foundation FMS helped us build. If you’re serious about franchising your business, FMS is the team to work with. Highly recommend.

What was the best part of the experience?

The customer service they have and the thoroughness of their product is what sets FMS apart. I received my business plan within 2 weeks. My FDD within two more weeks after that. They respond to my text and emails within minutes. I have recommended them to two other business owners, and they have also decided to franchise with FMS.

What would you change about the experience?
