The wonderful people at Green Home Solutions did excellent work at my mother’s house. She had been very nearly to the point of giving up and selling her house “as-is,” or “bull-dozing it.” (Her words!) The mold had gotten so far out of hand in her basement and crawlspace that she feared it would cost more than the house was worth to fix it. It was making her sick and her health had begun to deteriorate. And my son could not stay there for more than a few days because it aggravated his asthma too much. Fortunately, we knew a retired professor of environmental engineering who recommended Green Home Solutions because of their state-of-the-art solutions in mold remediation. He said that they would treat us right and get the job done efficiently. I was a little skeptical because of the extent of our mold problem. But as soon as the Green Home Solutions team got to my mother’s house, I felt a tremendous weight had been lifted from our shoulders. Shon had performed a professional, thorough inspection of the whole house, and I received a proposal for the work the very next day. The sheetrock in the finished part of the basement had to be removed, all the carpet and flooring in the main part of the house had to be removed as well, the air had to be scrubbed, dehumidifiers installed, and sealant applied in the basement. Mold had to be removed from floor joists and subflooring for the entire house. It’s a big, ranch style house, so for every single square foot of house there is also a square foot of basement. All of the project details and scheduling were managed by Barbara. She made sure all the pieces fit together, and she was always available to answer my questions at all hours. It made a huge difference just knowing that I could rely on her organization skills, and friendly, caring voice throughout the duration of this project. If she said something was going to happen, then I knew I could count on it. The team members were all very professional and friendly, they were always on time, and they took very good care of my mother’s house from start to finish. Nothing seemed to daunt them! They arrived each day and got right to it, and when I’d throw a curveball into the plan, somebody was always eager to catch it. Now that it’s all finished, I am pleased to say that it’s like being in a different house. We can breathe again! We are delighted with the superior quality of work they’ve done, and I am extremely happy that I don’t have to worry about my mom calling for the bulldozers.

tl:dr - don't hire this company - they won't tell you what is going on, and won't help when there is a problem. Terribly disappointed in the lack of clear communication this company provides. If possible, avoid dealing with them at all.I met with their representative at my home to get a quote for mold remediation and insulation removal and replacement. I was initially hopeful as I liked the ethos of the company from the website, as well as the numerous promises that there was a fast turnaround on their work (the site promised as little as next day service, and while I did not need this, I did need the work done in a timely manner). Three days later I still had not received a quote or any follow up communication from their representative, who had promised to send it the same day. I had to contact their corporate office in order to get contact information for the local office to find out why I had not been contacted. As soon as I did receive the quote (which was reasonable), I contacted the office again the schedule service, as I needed this done ASAP. The suggested a date ONE MONTH OUT. At no time had they given any indication that there might be a wait of this kind of time, or I would have sought quotes from other companies. After discussing the urgency of the situation with their office, they were eventually able to schedule for 3+ weeks out, and we discussed arrangements for financing etc, however no contract was provided until the afternoon on which the service was provided (during which time crews were already at work in my house). Nowhere on any of this information was written explanations of who would be present in the house, whether I could have my realtor show it, etc. Both the representative and the office manager continue to claim that they discussed this with me on the phone or when visiting my house, however the former did not, and the latter provided conflicting information, saying one thing on the phone and another in e-mails. Our services were scheduled to take place on a Friday (mold), and a Monday (insulation). It was at 8pm on that Friday night that I was sent an e-mail stating that the insulation work would "maybe" take place on Monday, but probably not until Tuesday (when I had showing of the house scheduled). No attempt was made to contact me earlier in the day when their office discovered that they had not obtained the supplies of insulation needed to complete the job. Tuesday - crews arrived and worked on the insulation. I received an e-mail at 6pm that night stating that the work on my home had been completed, and a request to authorize payment.Wednesday, 1:20pm - a crew arrives at the house to complete the work that had not, in fact, been completed the work the night before. Not having been informed of this, I had a showing scheduled at 2pm. The crew finished the insulation later that day, but somehow were unable to re-attach the wiring they had pulled down while removing the old insulation.Thursday - supervisor arrived (on a scheduled visit this time, finally), to reattach wiring that should have been replaced on Friday when it was initially disrupted.Throughout this I have been repeatedly communicating with Barbara in their office (the representative Fredrik not replying to any e-mails), asking for clarification and expressing my frustration as these problems have now cost us 1 buyer that we know of, and several showings. She has been defensive, issued meaningless platitudes, and apologized but refused to take responsibility for the lack of communication regarding when and what her crews would be doing, or for the downright INACCURATE information in the e-mails she has sent.

Unbelievable customer service. This is a company that really cares about their customers. I had an emergency and needed an inspection done the day before 4th of July. Barbara, was able to get an inspector out to our home the same day and have air samples done. The inspector was so thorough, professional and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this company to anyone needing mold inspections or remediation.

I have read the other reviews and I am wondering if I am dealing with the same company??? I called a week ago and the girl took my info then hung up on me. I called back and somehow got the main office in Pa. The man I spoke with had no record of my information in the system, ok, thats fine I guess. I gave him my info and he told me someone would call me back to set up an appt. I missed a call a day or two later because I was in a doctor appt. I called them back and explained I had recently missed a call from them. The girl said she was on the other line with 'an old lady and knew it would be awhile so could she call me back' Ok, thats not great customer service AT ALL for me or the other lady. That was last week. Still waiting. I called the main office yesterday to let them know how their Atlanta franchise was operating-at least with me and Heather assured me Barbara would be calling me. Still waiting. I'm ok if things get busy one day and I wait or even that when I called back the girl put me off and said she would call me right back but that was 4 working days ago. Now I'm thinking maybe I shouldn't even let these people near my home. My whole experience with them has been VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.

They never disappoint, are always honest, caring and professional! They absolutely get the job done and do it with excellence in mind! Everyone from Barbara (office manager) to the owners Carl and Fredrik are awesome to work with and really care about my clients situations! They go out of their way to treat them with the greatest respect and want to see the best for them - - a Healthy Home. I just can’t say enough good about this company and their philosophy and I highly recommend them for all your mold remediation needs and duct cleaning!

I had an excellent experience with Green Home Solutions of Metro Atlanta from beginning to end! They reached out to me soon after I filled out the online form and were able to schedule an inspection in a timely manner. Daniel was polite, on time and communicated clearly before, during and after the inspection. The air quality results were sent over by the time they said they would be and the team even helped interpret the results. I highly recommend Green Home Solutions of Metro Atlanta for your air quality needs.UPDATE: Green home solutions made a major oversight in finding mold in our rental property. We consulted separate company who came out and tested properly to find mold and take care of remediation. Would not recommend if you're looking for a thorough job done.

I cannot say enough great things about this company. I am a real estate agent and had a transaction where we realized the house had mold - my first time surmounting this problem. Of course, we're running out of due diligence, the seller and listing agent aren't being exceptionally helpful or understanding, and I only have a few hours - AFTER HOURS - to find someone, anyone that would be able to get a professional out to the property quickly (as in the yesterday kind of quickly).A friend of mine recommended I call Green Home Solutions and, as luck would have it, Barbara Carey, rock star employee, happened to still be in the office much past the hour when she should have been home and, because I was very lucky, she picked up the phone, talked to me until I was able to calm down, and got someone out to the house fast, quick, and in a hurry. I recently sent another client of mine over to them and we got exemplary customer service for a second time, so I know it wasn't just luck the first go around.The value you get is beyond comparison here. You are provided Michelin-level customer support/service, options that are friendly for families/pets/the environment, and they will talk you through the whole process. Mold remediation from start to finish isn't inexpensive on it's best day, but there are always options. You get a stage by stage breakdown of what needs to be done to never, ever have this problem again so you can budget over time (a short period of time, but still) or, if that isn't for you, they also offer financing. Honestly, working with service providers is a large chunk of what I do in any given day. I can honestly say that it is a breath of fresh air (no pun intended, but still appreciated!) to experience the professionalism, exceptional customer service, and care that I've experienced in my interactions with Green Home Solutions and, especially, their office staff.

Can I give MORE THAN FIVE STARS? Excellent service, excellent results. Their team worked with our schedule around other contractors and acted quickly to meet our listing schedule. Professional office and schedulers who worked with me when the scope of work expanded. Great courteous workers who went above and beyond and we passed our remediation test immediately, so we could move on quickly. I CANNOT SAY ENOUGH GOOD THINGS!!
