Hey everybody, I just received an extortion email to an address that was only ever used once (to signup for OrderUp). That means that they have had a data breech (and they're probably not even aware of it yet). I will copy the body of the email below. If you have received something similar recently and you have signed up for OrderUp in the past with that same email address, then your data had been compromised too. Here is the email:Email Subject: Incriminating content mRRm15Message: Good afternoon!I think that this message is totally surprising for you!I have harsh news!Last time when you visited adults web site, you computer was attacked by badware. Got a gift certificate as a gift. It shows on my order up account. But, because of the merger with Grubhub, I get redirected to the GrubHub site to place my order. There’s no way to enter my gift certificate code on GrubHub because they require a 17 character code and the Order Up code is only 16. I spoke with a rep at GrubHub, who couldn’t have been any nicer, but she was ultimately unable to help me and neither was her supervisor. I emailed the help email for Order Up. I did receive a very quick reply asking what city and state I was in. I was then instructed that my request had been sent to the next help level because the guy who was emailing me wasn’t able to remedy the situation. I was told it would take up to a day to hear back. Well because of that, we had to make other dinner plans. The gift card was a gift from a friend after our son was born. With a three week old baby, the convenience of not having to cook dinner would have been greatly appreciated. At this point, our friend is out the $25 they spent on the gift card. After searching for about 20 minutes, I fiannly found a number to call for a Order Up. Will be calling today.

I've been using OrderUp for a while now, but their service has gone down. No wonder why they have restaurants dropping from them left and right. Their customer service team doesn't know what customer service even means. When a loyal customer's food is delivered with a driver that reeks of cigarette smoke so bad the food smells like it just took a bath in cancer and the customer reaches out to the company they shouldn't have to wait over an hour for an answer from "support". An issue like this should have been followed up with a phone call, not just a generic email. I'm glad the company is being bought out by GrubHub. It's going to be hard work for GrubHub to rebuild the customer base that OrderUp so badly messed up, but it could be done.

Feedback:

List email as sole option for customer service, but does not respond to emails in a timely manner. Impossible to change or cancel an order. Customer service was unfriendly. Never again

THIS is one of the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCES that I have ever had. NEVER USE ORDERUP!!!! I never leave reviews, but the horrible customer service forced me to. I had TWO bad experiences with this ratchet delivery service. The first was false advertisement when I went on their website and twice filled out a pop up screen promising $7 off my first order. I was supposed to receive an email with a link, but the links never arrived. I called their customer and they told me that they would credit me for my second order "after" I placed my first order. I advised her that is not what the email promised. I tried them again and actually purchased from JNJ Southern Kitchen in Baltimore, MD. The restaurant is only 10 minutes from the house, but it took them an hour and fifteen minutes to get there. When I spoke to the delivery guy on the phone, he told me that he was at the house. I asked him what took so long and made him aware of my displeasure with the time that it took to receive the order. The delivery guy asked me, "do you want the order or not," hung up the phone and left. Spoke with the restaurant who said that they called the driver who went to deliver to the next order. The person at the restaurant said that he would cancel order and abruptly hung up. Called Orderup who and spoke with Dawn who was really helpful. She said that she issued a credit of $10 for the inconvenience and would have investigative team contact me. After a few days passed by, I remembered that I did not receive a phone call. I called them and spoke with a supervisor named Jen who told me because the order was "attempted" I would not receive a refund. The order was not attempted. The delivery guy hung up and left before he attempted to deliver our food. I told her that I would contact Paypal to get my refund and their customer service SUCKS!!! This is an horrible company, DON'T USE THEM. USE THEM IF YOU WANT TO WASTE YOUR TIME AND WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! DO NOT USE THEM AT ALL EVER!!!! EVER!!!!

was surprised to see they had a lot of my local favorite restaurants on their site. pretty quick delivery as well

I have been using OrderUp Baltimore now for several years. During this time, the number of negative experiences I have had with this company have increased dramatically. The latest episode involved an incomplete order delivery that included only half of the ordered items. When I called the company's Customer Service line to speak about this issue, I received a terse response from an employee (Rachel), telling me that there was nothing that could be done to correct this. She also refused to connect me with her manager, saying that the manager would also be unable to refund me for this incomplete order. After insisting for about 15 minutes, I was finally placed on hold to speak with the manager and then was told that the manager "did not not want to speak with me right now." When I asked the name of this manager, I was only given her first name, which I was told is Jen. I have never been this dissatisfied and frustrated with a company that is based solely on customer service. Looking at the list of other negative comments on this form, it is obvious that OrderUp needs to revamp the training and hiring of its staff members or leave the food delivery scene all together. Very disappointing!

They bring me the food I want and have some great customer service supervisors.
